Suppose I am doing the speed limit on a two lane highway and a trucker comes up behind me and tries to "push" me into going faster, should I recognise his need to deliver on time or should I hold my speed?

This happens a lot in the UK...I try not to break the speed limits for anybody. In that situation I would find a safe place to pull in and let the truck go past....if the driver picks up a ticket for speeding that's his/her problem....

If you are on a two lane highway and if you are in a right lane (for slower traffic), he has an option of going to the other lane to pass you. So you can keep your speed. But if he keeps tail gate you, you can find a chance to yeild him to be safe for you.

He should slow down. You should do the speed limit. If he pressures you too much though you might consider finding a place to yield to him. Not so much for his sake, but for yours. For instance should you have to brake in a hurry for some reason he might plow into you. His behavior could be considered road rage and you might think about calling the authorities.

Treat that truck like it was loaded with dynamite. Does not matter if the truck driver is right or wrong, ultimately his truck will crush your little car if something goes wrong. Do what you need to and let him get away from you. That way, you and your car get to go home in one piece.

If I was you, I would turn off at the first stop I get to or speed up a bit and pull to the side of the road.
