Great Britain is a small island. The next generations of car owners will soon create gridlock throughout the UK. Do people have too many cars nowadays? do people USE their cars for trips that can be done on foot in ten minutes? what is wrong with walking, or cycling? how lazy are we getting?

I moved to the Netherlands and i find the roads SOO quiet, it's amazing. when i go back to the UK, i see cars everywhere!

Since gas prices are up, even during the war and Mideast crisis, what you do think other alternative fuel sources for gas that's much cheaper, like crops? This info is for a future nonfiction article. (I'm not sure what gas would be in the cars and transportation category. Am I right to choose commuting?)

I'm pretty new at driving and yesterday was taking a left turn in a small city's downtown area. It was from a side street onto a busier road, and I had a stop sign. I needed to turn left, but there was this huge delivery truck parked at the corner, so I could not see any of the cars coming from the left. Cars coming from the left could not see me until I was fully into the road.

What does one do in this situation? Kind of creep forward so that you're halfway into the road till you can finally see, at which point the driver coming from the left will see you and hopefully let you go? Or do you just take the left turn and hope anyone barreling at you from the left will hit the brakes?

This is an accident waiting to happen...

No one responded to my last question. So i have short listed my selections after detailed study. My usage of the car per month is about 400 to 600km and my yearly travel all together is close to 7,500km. All the above 3 cars has the price almost the same. So am finiding it difficult to choose out of these 3. COnsidering my usage help me which one works out better for me. I hardly have experience in driving manual transmission car. which one works good for me ?
Dear proud owners of the above car help me to select.
my obvious points to consider for above car is
1. Mileage in City & Highway
2. maintanance cost per year
3. repairs or small refinement cost etc,. [in other words the money needs to be spent on car other than fuel
4. Post warranty costs ....
5. Resale value after 5-6 years any other points you guys think "need to be considered" etc..

For some reasons still Indica Diessel is in my list. help me with your experience. THanks in advance for your help

I just passed my Liscense exam today and My parents are looking for a couple of affordable cars. One of the cars, I like alot which is a Mazda RX-7 thats pretty cheap and efficent. But the only problem is that it's stick shift. My parents don't know how to drive stick. but i have some relatives that do. but before that my first concern is that i heard something about left handed ppl not being able to drive stick. is it really that hard? because i'm left handed.

Why do ppl complain about gas prices and yet there are so many ppl who joyride like crazy?! They go out for stupid reasons. I understand that some ppl work far from home and thats ok but what about the rest of them? What would happen if we were forced to conserve?

I was guessing that most of America would be paying around $5 per gallon before the next election with the current trend continuing. Would you pay $10 for a gallon of gas?

I recently bought a photo blocker spray that you spray on your license plate so that just in case you happen to run a red light or make an illegal turn or whatever and there is an intersection camera, then the flash from the camera would cause a glare and your plate wouldn't be seen in the picture.

Well....after applying it to my license plate i tried it with my digital camera and it didn't work for me...i could still read the letters/numerals on my plate.

...the spray can says its guaranteed to work. Does this mean the intersection cam flash is different???

Please help with any info PLLLEEEEEEASE!!
...Cuz today i accidentally ran a red light and seen the cameras flash.
