The EPA says you mileage may vary. compared to 2/wheel drive 4x4 uses more gas so 12/14 in town and up to 16/19 mpg on the road. This will be less with taller wider tires. Not more mpg because the tire turns less per mile, but because of more weight and more aerodynamic drag. The 2007 Tahoe gets better mileage because it shuts off Cyl's. GM'S Displacement on Demand system. Your engine condition and tune will also make a difference and correct pressure in the tires

mine gets about 15 mpg
