We should be being forced to conserve now... don't worry about the people who joyride, they have to pay for their own gas, so don't worry about them... old habits die hard even when gas costs so much

Ok stop hugging trees for a minute. The average commute for a person living in Houston, Tx from home to work is 42 miles one way. That's alot of gas each week...In most southern states public transportation stinks, and everything is spread out so walking, riding a bike, is out of the question. I try to conserve gas and spend less money by driving a little compact car, but I really really want a big a** monster truck!!! THAT'S WHY PEOPLE B*TCH! The truth is there's plenty more oil out there...OPEC and freaking greedy a**ed politicians could do something about the fuel prices...but why should they...they are making a killing...so really all we can do is b*tch...and you're trying to stop us! Why don't you come down out of your tree....and b*tch with us, and then maybe they will do something about the oil prices...and then we will all stop b*tching and be happy!

Preach on! I never understood why people would sit in their car in a parking lot, outside a supermarket, with their a/c running, waiting for whoever to finish up their shopping, and they STILL complain about the price of gas! Ignorance! Turn the car off, and go inside and sit down for a while! It's free a/c!

It seems like most people are not willing to change their lifestyles just because gas prices have gone up. There is a new service called Ridester.com that will allow riders and drivers to share travel costs between cities. I wonder if people will start using that service more now that gas prices are going up.

That's easly cause an outside force is effecting the way they have been living and people hate change, change to a job closer to home, a home closer to the job, a smaller more fuel efficient vehicle or god forbit - public transportation or car pools!
I think it is really funny when people complain considering water cost much more and we are not even close to our sisters in the western world!

1) The air would be cleaner to breathe
2) We would be less dependent on foreign oil (think Iran, Iraq)
3) We would get used to it & wonder why we didn't start sooner
4) We would be kinder to our environment all the way around, and extending the life of good 'ol planet Earth is ALWAYS a good idea!
