Nope. I'd rather walk or ride a bike.

Just watch. Gas will hit its all-time peak price in the USA at Labor Day, then drop nearly a dollar a gallon for Election Day (consider that the oil companies' contribution to the Republican Congress) and get back to the Labor Day price by Christmas.
We're going to need a Democratic President and Congress to clean up the gas-price mess by ramping up alternative fuel production. We can be forever rid of the need for Arab oil in 5-10 years if we elect a President who isn't in the back pocket of the Saudis.

Yes..my car is already fuel-efficient and I don't live far from work. I realize that's not everyone's situation, but maybe this would force more people to buy smaller cars.
And HELLO! people should know that oil companies don't even set the price for gas. It's set by traders in the commodities market. Just go to finance.yahoo.com and read Ben Stein's columns. Also, since when are products in short supply supposed to be cheap? It's how the market it, supply and demand. Not rocket sciene.
Look at Europe - they pay lots more for gas but buy smaller cars to make up for it.

we don't have much of a choice. if it gets that bad, i would definitely make more changes.
I have made a few already, such as I try to stop and do errands on my way to or from work so I don't have to make an extra trip. If it gets to $10/gallon, I will probably start to bike to work at least a few days per week. (it is 12 miles each way)

When gas was $0.35 cents and it went up a few pennies ... folks in Philadelphia were having riots and hitting people with bats in the 70s.
Of course we'll pay it!
Forget about it.
Um, but not before somebody bashes in my skull at a pump
in the Bronx cause I jumped the line.

not if I would but I can't afford that.I'm already only going anywhere 1 day a week.I work from home.So the one day a week I go somewhere, its Dr appt, groceries, supplies, post office, etc. If it even gets to $4 a gallon I'll have to move to the middle of town and walk where I need to go.

I already walk, bike, take public transportation for many trips, and my next car will probably be a hybrid or non-fossil fuel.
