My VW bug sat for a year unused, when I went to drive it I found the clutch would not disengage. Are there any easy ways to get the clutch to release without going thru a whole engine drop and rebuild?

Had windshield replaced. Six months later mirror fell off. Tried reattaching circular metal base with various glues/epoxies but it keeps falling off as soon as I attach full weight of mirror. There is very little contact between metal base and glass. Am I missing a part? How can I secure the mirror?

Jetta 91, manual trans, on a turn i tried to put the 2nd gear, made a loud noise and it started knocking. While being in neutral with the clutch un-pressed knocks, you push the clutch and it stops. but when in movement, it still knocks. Could it be the clutch or do i need a whole new trans?

It is a 1.8i engine.I have changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires and distributor cap but now the car won't start. When we try it sounds like it is going to and then it sounds like it is releasing air. Some people have said that my firing order is off and that I should turn around the distributor cap. But I am afraid that I have the plugs on in the incorrect order.

I bought a 66' bug that had a bad motor. A valve went through the piston so, I purchased new piston and cylinders from several different sourcse all for a 1300cc motor. The cylinders match what I have and the pistons go in the cylinders but the wrist pins are different! The wrist pins on my motor are smaller than the one's that came with one of the pistons I bought. Another vendor sent me a piston with two wrist pins but both pins are smaller then the opening on the piston but do fit the rods on the motor! What size wrist pins should I have for a 1300cc or/and 1200cc motor?
