Split the remote open - should be a slot that a dime will fit in. Number should be written on he battery. Radio Shack will have the replacement. Switch - em out and go stand next to the car. Hold down the lock and unlock buttons together until you hear the door locks cycle and you are done.

What I did with my 2000 TDI Jetta. I phoned 3 companies that bought motor vehicle batteries and have been given the kind sort and cost of the battery, then i bought the terrific deal and took it domicile. those companies have a motor vehicle to battery index they use to look them up. Or call the VW broking and ask. i discover alot of on-line suggestion isn't precise. in the event that they have been given it incorrect whilst they looked it up carry the receipt and that they could take it lower back.

just open your key fob and pull out the littli silver battery. the door locks use the car battery to open and close them. the little battery in your fob trips the radio reciever in your car that also runs off your car battery. i have seen these batteries at wallgreens drug stores as well as c v s . I got my camera battery
there. there will be a number on the battery, there are litery hundreds of the little buggers and your owners manual will tell you how to get the two back in sinck
