Are the seats in it factory or not?

If they're just the normal factory seats did you check the links I sent you last time? They're just links to the owners manual, which explains now to remove them. If they are too lacking in details then check out this link, it's from the official service manual.

The rails came from the factory welded to the floor pan, if it's bolted, duck taped, etc then it was not done by VW.

Disconnect the seat return spring and slide the seat all the way foward off of the tracks blow out the track with compressed air and applie a thin coat of grease reinstall is tricky getting both sides in the grooves. In 1973 VW started to use safer seat tracks two side tracks with gray plastic slider triangles and a middle track with a spring clip and retractable pin to hold the seat in place. That seat pull the release handle push down the center spring clip and slide the whole seat off foward. Have new sliders ready as they break.
