Hatch won't open. Key goes in but doesn't turn. Can I open up the hatch some other way to check mechanism? If it's just a lube job than I would want to do that instead of taking to dealer. Any advice is much appreciated.

I would like to know how to access the spark plugs and the ignition wires to do the tune up myself. Do i have to access the engine compartment thru the wheel well?

My 1998 Legacy coupe is the only one i know of. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2049971/3

Ideas for my next project car would be:
-BMW 318 ti hatchback coupe with M5 motor transplant and forced induction.
-Oldsmobile Aurora front clip used as a 4.0L v8 Mid Engine chassis, custom front end, fibreglass body, open wheels in front.
-3000gt 6G72 single turbo awd motor in a 1991 eagle talon. It shares a transmission with the all wheel drive 4G63 engine origenally in the car. The only stretch is getting the alternator belts to clear the frame. I already have the dash removed to swap wiring harnesses.

I dont think I can decide. I already have the talon. Ah well.
More of a rant than a question? sources say yes.

I followed the instructions from the manual but it seem difficult to remove the casing on top of the engine? Or should I put more force in it? Seems rather difficult to change an air filter.

i have been in love with subaru's since highschool (I was a tuba play and needed trunk space), now that I am older and will be graduating college in a couple years, I just want to know what people think about the Subaru Baja-like mpg, reliability, yearly cost, is it an "exotic vehicle" or foreign, quality, crash test, and how is the company doing (will they be around for sometime or go belly up)?

We have a 2004 Forester and like the car, but both my husband and I have experienced back and hip pain when driving for more than 1/2 an hour. Even our son who is 25 has experienced the same thing.

Im looking into these 2 cars and comparing both, WRX has better performance & power whereas Integra is more on looks.
Now im looking to buy a value for money car that dont look like my dad owns it.
With 2.5l & 2.0l, the insurance and rd tax will be a difference. How much more is 2.5l compared to 2.0l?

I spend 95% of my driving on highways, going typically 70mph. The manual says every 7500 miles, but oil companies say 3000 miles.

After I imported the Impreza GF1 from Japan, it was very fast and was performing optimally. I gave the car to a friend and on return, the cars capability to pick up speed was so compromised, and it was struggling to pick up speed from one gear to the next.

I changed the engine oil, fuel filter, oil filter, plugs, battery, air filter with new subaru spares but the situation did not change so much. Please help me understand which engine oil is good for my car. Currently, i'm using Caltex - Formula (i havent crammed the grade).

How can I boost the cars ability to pick up speed??

Thanks for yahoo answers...
