We have a 2004 Forester and like the car, but both my husband and I have experienced back and hip pain when driving for more than 1/2 an hour. Even our son who is 25 has experienced the same thing.

Unfortunately, I had a Outback that had the same problem; I think the seats are the same.

I bought a good lumbar support seat from a chiropractor and that took care of the problem. It was a great car in every other way.

I loved the seats in the Forester. I'm 6 foot 5 230lbs. Try adjusting the seats.

I've heard of that happening in other cars, but had not heard forester does that. Either trade it in or get back support for it.
