I currently "own" (technically my dad does) a 1987 Dodge Ram 150 pickup that says Ramcharger on the fender badge. The part sites I have looked on do not have a category for a specific 'Ramcharger' Dodge truck, oooh no, they have to be fancy and say D-150, W-250, so on and so forth, and I'm getting frustrated. The only parts sites that seem (and I use this word lightly) to have the parts, don't have parts for the right trim, some only go as far back as the 90's and some even go so far as to have beaten up worthless parts, or only have parts for brand new vehicles. The sites that actually do (supposedly) have the parts, don't have them in stock or only have links leading to sites that have something completely unrelated. Also, how am I supposed to know which of two engines I'm supposed to have, when nothing is clearly marked and I only know what the cubic inch measurement is? If anybody would care to answer seriously, and tell me a reliable parts site, I would greatly appreciate it.

It's a '96 Dodge Interepid that was used for commuting to college and has almost ALL highway miles on it. It's in absolutely perfect (inside and out) condition, except the A/C doesn't work. It has a new radiator, brakes, and front tires. It runs like a dream and looks and drives like a new car. The only catch: It has 267,000 miles on it.
I need it to last the 4 years I'm going to college (about 40 miles round trip 3 days a week)-- do you think it's worth the risk? It costs $1300.

Thanks!!

where 3 spark plugs are at the top and 3 are under the engine? I personally have a 2000 Dodge Stratus. Mechanic tells me its gonna cost $200 at the least for spark plugs and wire change. Three off my spark plugs are at the top and three are under the engine. He says its gonna take some work to get the bottom three. How much does a Spark Plug change and wire change cost about for a V6 2.5L ?

Just wondering...I have a 1990 Dodge B250 full size van that I bought because it was in good shape. The van is basicly just a crusier and will rarely if ever be loaded down. I do a lot of long-distance highway driving and I need to know if it's possible (without extensive mods) to fit a 5sp manual tranny to it.

I added a 5in suspesion lift to my 2000 Dodge Ram Extended cab long bed pickup, now there is a vibration when starting out from a dead stop. I was wondering if this could be caused by the drive shafts running at 2 different angles now.

Are the American automobile manufacturers ever going to wake up?

After witnessing the collapse of the GMC, and large amputations of the jobs in Ford, we must learn something.

The former head of Nissan's engineering team said after the fall of GMC, "the American automobile industry failed to listen to what the consumers demand."

Sure, our flashes are being eaten off by the Japanese and other foreign autos, but I do not see any sign of getting better.

Will the perfect storm come to the U.S. automakers? Will the Americans see the major fall of the American auto industries, significantly affecting our economy and bring the nightmare? (well, we are sort of having the nightmare already...)

Will the Americans get up from the comfort zone? Or will we change after the horrible events wake us up? Or will we fall into the deep, unwakeable sleep forever?

I want to hear what you think.

The engine light on my dodge intrepid about 2 weeks ago. I drive it only when necessary, because right now I'm waiting to start my new job before I have it brought in. Basically, once the car hits highway cruise mode then slows down I get a helluva shift shock then the RPMs shoot through the roof. If I turn the car off and restart then problem is remedied. Is there anything I can do or is this nothing more than a needed transmission rebuild/replace?
