The 3.3 L engine was available in the Dodge Grand Caravan (LE model)

It was not available in the regular Caravan

No, Only 2.5l, 5.5l turbos and 3.0l engines were available in Dodge, Chrysler and Plymouth in the Caravan or Grand Caravan lines

I thought they did, but apparently it wasn't until 1990 and only in the grand se, le and town & country. Here's more from the best website I've found for all kinds mopar info, like hemi history etc.:
