I have a 2000 Camaro Z28. It has had a Rattling noise coming from the rear (Posibly the right side) of the car since I had it (about 18k Miles). I was told it could need a rear-end fluid change a year ago.
I changed the Fluid last fall, and it still does it!
I was also told that it sounds like a U-joint by MANY people. So, I changed one of the U-joints that could have Possibly been bad. But, it wasn't. I changed a Good U-joint that didn't need chaged, and spent over $75 just to have it removed. The newer one isn't exactly as easy to move as the Old one...But anyway....
That STILL Didn't solve the Rattle I was hearing.
I belive that it IS comeing from either the Differential, or the rear-right wheel-Bearing. I can't exactly describe the noise, it is More of a Knocking sound. Almost a Rolling noise, consistent with the axle & wheel speed.
I would like for some REAL Experts to help me out with this one, since the Ya-hoo's in Indianapolis are of No help... :P
Any Advice??
