Disconnect the heater core water hoses that enter into the firewall in the engine compartmet.Connect hoses together with a small length of metal tubing and hose clamps. This will keep the water from flowing into the heater core.No more heat, but no more water on the floor.

Depends if you have a/c or not---heater core would be in the a/c or heater ductwork behind the dash....there should be two heater hoses going to it on the engine side of the firewall which will show you approximately where it is located behind the dash. You can remove those two hoses from the heater core fittings and connect them together with a short piece of pipe and hose clamps but one hose is slightly larger than the other---1/2 inch and 3/4 inch diameter---or you can remove them entirely and run a replacement hose from where one hose attaches to the engine to the other fitting for the other hose to the engine using a piece of hose that is the larger diameter of the two and just clamp it real good and bypass the heater core altogether if it's too expensive to fix temporarily.---it does not help cool the engine normally, it's just there to provide engine heat to the passenger compartment.

Take the two heater hose from the heater core and then using a coupling (or small piece of pipe) join these two hoses together. I would have the heater core replaced because you will not have any heat. Good luck with this. Be sure to shop around for the best price & quality of the heater core.

You don't want to do that as it will prevent the engine from cooling itself properly and you'll have no heat. Most heater cores are under or behind the dash on the passenger side. If it's leaking, replace it.

The heater hose connections are at the firewall, passenger side, but you'll need help because the hoses don't come off the heater core pipes easily. However, you can just cut them with a razor blade and connect them with the hose coupler in the kit above.
