I have a 2000 chevy pick up and was planing on putting a new air intake unit on it. My father just put a K&N filter system on his 2007 suburban and absolutely loves it. I would like to out do him but I have heard that K&N is the about the best you can do?

K&N's do work good, another thing to try is synthetic oil (conklin or amsoil) you'll pickup some mileage and the engine will have a little more snap to it. I would suggest that you contact Conklin (in business for 30 years) and see who in your area has these products, it seems there are a few people on this site who have never tried it , but still seem to know all about it

It's very important to choose an air intake system for your truck that has an enclosed air box which draws in cool outside air while driving. It's important also how well it fits for instalation purposes.
There ther are quite a few brands to choose from: Green high performance air filter, Aem, K&N, AIRAID, ihjen Technology, Volant Cool Air Intakes, aFe advanced Flow engineering, Trueflow, Specter Weapon.R compition products.
