I have a Chevy 1500 pickup and there's a switch right below the headlights and I can't figure out what id does or which way it's supposed to go to be off.... all the letters are faded or rubbed off.

Does anyone have a similar truck that knows what this switch is for and what position it needs to be in to be off? Or where can I find a diagram of the dash layout?

It looks like it said something something lamp... but I can't make it out

okay, so I just bought this car! and now I'm freaking out. because there's already something wrong with it.

I was driving and the blinkers would work fine, then all of a sudden, they just wouldn't work, and that happened the whole night.. I don't know if it was because I was messing with the wires for the stereo earlier and I might have hit one of the other wires in there or something, but I just wanted to know how I could check it out in there without taking my car into the shop.

Ignition problems on '99 Cavalier.?
I'm having ignition problems on my '99 Cavalier. When I want to turn my engine over, it does a long crank and then it'll start up. I checked my battery and alternator and they both checked out fine on my voltmeter. My plugs and wires were replaced not long ago, and it couldn't come from there. Is it my ignition coil that's gone bad?

I had a new steering column put in the car about 2 months ago, I tried driving it, but it would die and wouldn't start up again. We changed the fuel pressure regulator and then tried starting it again and it wouldn't start. The battery was dead so we jumped it and it wouldn't crank over it threw a code 46. Which I found out that it was the anti-theft system. I tried the keys from the other car and they wouldn't turn the ignition over. What could be the problem? I looked my service manual for my car, but really didn't get any where. Can someone help?

So im driveing home from work on a hot summer day, and my car starts do over heat. I pull over and let it cool down. Once it cools down I drove home no problems at all. About an hour after ariveing home I go out to my car and check the raditor to see how much fluid I have in it, it turns out to be close to empty. So I fill it up with water and bleed the air . After I do all that my nephew came out and tryed to help me by spraying my engine with a waterhouse! I then start the car and try to drive to the store but it died about 3 feet of traveiling. I then try to start it againg and it dose nothing but crank over. So I asumed that either my distriputer, coil, spark plug, and or spark plug wires are wet. So I wait a good 3 hours and try it and still nothing. After about the third try it started up and I had to constaly give it gas to keep it runing. I checked my RPM gage and it strangely read under 1,000 when I was giveing it gas at est 4,000 RPM. What could the problem be?Any help will do
