I own an audi A4 and recently took it to the shop. They charged me $300 to replace a pipe and that didn't even fix the problem. My car will be driving normal one minute and the next minute is starts slowing down while going 40 miles per hour. I have to tap on the gas to make it go again. Obviously it wasn't the stupid pipe they fixed and now they are telling me it's due to the brake light. Something about it short circuting the engine... Does anyone have a clue what this means and how much it should cost to fix. I think the dealership should fix it for free since they only made it worse and didn't even fix what I asked... please help

Dirt settles in the bottom of all gas tank that could plug your engine.causing an expensive repair if you let you gas get to low, keep at lease 1/4 tank at all times.

New emission control system parts are very expensive (almost $300.00) used all 3 major parts can be less than $40.00,less depending on what parts you need.,check wreaking yards ,pick your own parts and the INTERNET .

Question) Do you know any other way to find other types of used parts and installation instructions for them; for the Audi 1985 4000S (Q)? Finding an 85 Audi mechanic repair manual would be great, Also some Audi parts are interchangeable with other Audi models anyone know where I can find a web site or list of interchangeable parts.

I've been reading/researching the TT for over a year now, and I'm really looking at it as my next car. My preference is the coupe (I have 2 little kids and the small backseat is fine for them), and a manual transmission. Does anyone have any comments recommendations or warnings about the TT's for me?

any ideas....I was reversing out of a parking space and the brakes would NOT work and I could not get it stop going in reverse even when I went into Drive I had to use the emergency brake to stop the darn thing. Also then I turned it on and off again and it was fine after that...ps it's an Audi do these cars have problems or what? any ideas what caused this plz help!
