Dirt settles in the bottom of all gas tank that could plug your engine.causing an expensive repair if you let you gas get to low, keep at lease 1/4 tank at all times.
New emission control system parts are very expensive (almost $300.00) used all 3 major parts can be less than $40.00,less depending on what parts you need.,check wreaking yards ,pick your own parts and the INTERNET .
Question) Do you know any other way to find other types of used parts and installation instructions for them; for the Audi 1985 4000S (Q)? Finding an 85 Audi mechanic repair manual would be great, Also some Audi parts are interchangeable with other Audi models anyone know where I can find a web site or list of interchangeable parts.

What the blank are you asking? You can get an Audi repair manual from allgermnparts.com they are from Bentley and are great. I had an 86 5000QT and used it all the time. Dirt does not settle in the bottom of all gas tanks, only if you some how let it get in the system. I put a fuel pump in my car and the tank was clean as the day it was new.
Used parts are always a risk. Most good junk yards no witch parts can be interchanged with other models. Find one that does German cars only.

i own a repair shop,and i have no-way of helping you ,other than i can tell you that getting a good repair manual may help you see,and identify the parts you need for it,,good luck,i hope this help,s..have a good x-mas.
