Would you get an Audi without a warranty, or is it a myth that they breakdown?

You do not say what Audi all cars breakdown the Audi is not immune to this but it is well constructed the quality control is better than BMW.Cam belts were a problem on early models and suspension wear but the engines are pretty bullet proof.I would not buy without a warrenty you need to read the small print very carefully.Mick UK own and work on Audi.

Audi is one of the most reliable autos built today. Contrary to popular belief, they are the ones that pioneered all-wheel drive for cars. (not subuaru) They have modified and fine tuned this program until if you now own an audi with Quattro you're pretty much driving a goat. Also the rustproof technology they're using is alot better than say BMW's which will rust out on your after a few years. Between 8-10. Good Luck.

I own an Audi A6 2000 which I bought new. While I like the car, I have had many mechanical problems with it. I would strongly recommend getting a warranty.

I own a S4, so far no problems. If you do your normal maintenance on it, and take care of it, you should not have a lot of problems. My boyfriend is a mechanic for Audi, he says they are one of the best cars to own, but if you dont take care of the car, then it will cost a lot in repairs. You need to do scheduled maintenance on the car, most of the time this will cost you 500-1000 dollars depending on the mileage you are at. If you buy an extended warranty it may cover those costs, but check before you buy!

Prior to 2002 Audi has had some huge mechanical problems. While these problems have lessened on the newer models, I know they are still experiencing trouble, not only that Audi's are very expensive to repair and maintain.

all cars break down. it's a matter of keeping them serviced correctly and free from errors.
my estimate is that the AUDI is probably one of the most reliable cars on the market. (when new).
