The improve tension you communicate approximately happens on the induction edge of the quicker between the quicker and the inlet manifold (the place the compressed air enters the engine to be mixed with gas) The exhaust gases leaving the engine are used to force the quicker. If the exhaust gas is escaping with the aid of a crack interior the exhaust manifold then the quicker won't carry out besides because it would do and you're able to locate extra effective quicker lag and decrease improve tension. there's a small hearth threat and additionally a wellbeing threat because of the fact the exhaust fumes might locate their way into the cabin. superb to alter your manifold and get the vehicle working one hundred% lower back.

t .t. t, of course you will, you will loose alot of boost as you will have a leak in pressure. You need the pressure to run through the exhaust to get full power. Its not a major problem but i would get an upgrade....
I wouldnt try to get more boost until replaced with either a standard or an uprated piece.

I wouldn't think so, except all that heat escaping into the engine bay won't help the intake air temperature = less boost, plus you'll get fumes in the cabin which is dangerous.
