I had a stereo put in at Best Buy in my '92 Integra. I'm thinking now about buying new rear speakers. When I look at the old one's, there is a capacitor soldered onto the terminals. Is that OE or did Best Buy put them there? (I think I remember him saying something about speaker protectors...is that what they are?) And do I need to put them on any new speakers that I might buy??

I was wondering if I faded my sound to my front speakers and left all the bass in the back from my subs, would that sound better instead of balancing it out even with sound in the rear speaker sense the bass is taking over in the back?

I plan on putting two 300 watt RMS subs in a car. I am going to wire the subs in parallel to a one channel amp. Should I buy a 300 watt RMS one channel amp or a 600 watt RMS one channel amp for my subs?

Hi all,
How many RCA pre-amp outputs in an mp3/cd tuner are required to connect a system consisting of 2 pairs of speakers, an amplifier and a subwoofer enclosure? (If my amp has 4 channels)

As in, do i connect speakers and subs to the amp and then connect amp to the headunit or can i connect a pair of speakers and a sub to amplifier and then connect other pair + the amp itself to the headunit???

I just bought a COBRA 29 WXNWST CB radio and installed it in my jeep using exactly 21 feet of coax cable. How long of a firestic should i buy? I thought about a 4 foot Turnable Tip
FireStik II. But i would prefer a 3 foot (so I can fit my jeep in the garage). My concern is that when i bought the coax cable they said i had to buy in increments of 3 feet... so should my antenna be 3 feet? please help thanks

Decided to go with Polk Audio SR6500 Components for the doors. According to Crutchfield they wont fit? The MOMO series 6.5's will fit. The difference is 5/8 in diameter. The MOMO's are 5", and the SR series are 5 5/8". I guess I could take the door panels off to measure, but I figured it couldnt hurt to ask here first. Thanks.

OK, here is the deal, I have a kicker amp that runs a rms of 700 watts at 2 ohms, and is 2 and 4 ohm stable. I am looking at a subwoofer (kicker L7) that runs about 750 RMS at 4 ohms. So, If I hook that L7 sub up to the amp in a 4 ohm configuration, will I only get 350 watts of rms going to the sub since it is a 4 ohm sub and not a 2 ohm?

I have a 2004 Honda Civic LX Coupe and right now I'm using a transmitter to play my music from my ipod, but no matter how low the frequency of the station I use is, I still get some static. I don't have a tape deck to buy one of those tape transmitters, and I've been thinking about getting an aux jack installed. Approximately how much would it cost?

We know it's not cd/tape players themselves bc even though the warrenties are expired they've never been used ever.

I have a 13w7 matched up withh a jl audio 1000/1 in the back of an SUV. The sub makes a popping noise when the volume is turned up and im thinking the reason is because the sub isnt getting any back pressure. The box is a poted design. Will stuffing it with Poly-Fill solve this problem? (money is an issue here too)
