how do i setup the auto-dim on sony car radio?

I have a sony Cdx m-800, no wiring diagram thou. How do i set up the auto-dim? is there a wire that needs to be connected to the lighting?

The orange/white wire on the back of the Sony radio needs to be connected to a vehicle wire that shows 12 volts when the lights are on. That wire can usually be found in the original radio plug.

If the Sony deck doesn't have an orange/white wire, then it's not equipped with the dim feature.
