I was wondering if I faded my sound to my front speakers and left all the bass in the back from my subs, would that sound better instead of balancing it out even with sound in the rear speaker sense the bass is taking over in the back?

I take it that whomever installed your sound system did not use the separate Woofer RCA's to plug for bass (most stereos today have three sets of plugs front amp, rear amp and sub amp) or you are using 1 amp to power all back speakers. I would have the stereo rewired with all speakers run thru the stereo and only the amp pushing the subs. It would give you better control of sound quality. I have done it this way for years its really the only way to get the best sound out of one amp. If you do have 2 amps run the speakers off that and the subs to the other.

I have High pass filters set at 80mhz for my front and rear speakers and 80mhz low pass to my sub.

I chatted with alot of peeps about not even using the rear speakers and simply utilizing the fronts along with the sub. I tried it but I'm so used to hearing something in the middle of the car(Talking about the rears) using the fronts just didn't sound right.

Then I opted to install components in the rear instead of just coaxials. I reccommend this setup, it really brought out the rear and having the filters balanced for the both (front and rear) and the Sub has no problems doing it's job.

Of course everyones listening modes are different.

It's all in a '03 Honda Civic coupe with a 600watt system (That's RMS watts).

I don't believe it would help because the bass coming out of the subwoofer would not also carry the mids and highs of the rear speakers. This would leave an empty sounding space behind you that you would most likely notice.

yes but thats what you have front speakers for if you have another pre amp out or get a bigger amp with outputs and run all of the speakers subs off that it sounds alot better and you could even add more speakers later on direct from the head unit

Woffers can be adjusted for sound level too. I prefeer front stage more mids and highs fron the front but your taste in music might be different. To each there own.
