I have a 2004 Honda Civic LX Coupe and right now I'm using a transmitter to play my music from my ipod, but no matter how low the frequency of the station I use is, I still get some static. I don't have a tape deck to buy one of those tape transmitters, and I've been thinking about getting an aux jack installed. Approximately how much would it cost?

i don't know if you can just install one. BUT if you got a new deck w/ one that would work. I bought a MP3/cd player w/ the aux jack and from Best Buy for $100. And it was free installation back then during Christmas. The wires to install coast me an extra $10. And the AUX wire cost me $5. So for $115 I had a cheapie deck that worked good.

You'll need to get a new car stereo that has a built-in AUX input. If you're comfortable doing it yourself (it is not difficult, I've done it several times), I would recommend crutchfield.com. When you buy a stereo from them, they'll include everything you need to do it yourself (mounting kit, adapter plug, detailed instructions).
