I just bought a COBRA 29 WXNWST CB radio and installed it in my jeep using exactly 21 feet of coax cable. How long of a firestic should i buy? I thought about a 4 foot Turnable Tip
FireStik II. But i would prefer a 3 foot (so I can fit my jeep in the garage). My concern is that when i bought the coax cable they said i had to buy in increments of 3 feet... so should my antenna be 3 feet? please help thanks

The length of coaxial cable is actually a myth. Ideally, you want the shortest length of cable, so as to minimize feedline loss. The increments are no big deal.

A 3 foot antenna will work. As long as its designed for CB (Firestiks are). Typically, the closer to a quarter wave 102 inches, the better your signal will travel; but a 3 footer will work. I understand the garage issue. I have to remove antennas every time I go in and out of my garage. |I drive a minivan, so anything over a VHF quarter wave hits the garage.

Antenna should be length tuned to the lowest SWR reading in the middle bands---an electronics repair shop or Radio Shack should have a meter to use to set it up right. Or go with the shorter antenna and lose some range/reception.
