I want to install some bass speakers on the back of my car...but i dont know which one is better....if a MTX or a Pioneer...

a little bit of back round on this amp. its a kicker 350x4 its about a year or so old. i used it on my fronts, but i thought i needed more power then the amp was putting out. so i put the amp in the original box, and put it away. well i got the amp out yesterday to put in my girlfriends cavalier. the amp wont turn on. test it was the first thing i did, cause i didnt want to run power to the trunk, and wires to the speakers only to kind out the damn thing wouldnt turn on. so tell me if i did something wrong. i put 8 ga to ground, which was the negitive battery terminal, took a 4 ga wire put it to + on the battery, and took a 16 ga wire and put it on the + terminal as well. there was nothing. no protective mode, no nothing. i havent hooked up a amp in a while, so i am hoping i didnt do something that is so simple. i hope the amp isnt screwed. please posts thoughts, or ideas, or anything. oh and the fuses are fine.

I brought a brand new cd player, and speakers for my jeep grand cherokee, and its been doing great up untill a week ago. Now whenever I play a cd it make this weird, and loud screeching noise. You can still hear the music, but througout the song all you hear is this noise, and it only gets worse when I turn the music up. I think its the cd player, and not my speakers, but im not sure.

explane it to me the wiring the set up and if it can be brideged the amp is 4ohm stable in bride mode.the singal voice coil sub is 4ohm.

hi, I was wondering, what an auxilliary cable would do coming from a ipod 5th gen to a Halfords Ripspeed dvd playeer - would it show the artists tunes info etc on screen or will it just play the audio from the ipod on the unit with a blank screen??

I have a viper 791 xv on 98 accord. Right now, after changing the batteries and all on the remote, it cant get it to send signals to my car. I hit the unlock/lock button and it just beeps like it is out of range. does anyone know how to reprogram my remote to send signals to my car. I cou I am very electronically illeterate so I need MAJOR help. I would appreciatld not figure it out in the book. I did all it said, but it never worked.

I am getting two pairs of a/d/s/ 6.5" speakers and an a/d/s/ amp. What would be worthy to put in the dash to play CDs and MP3s with this high end sound system? I will spend up to $1500 just for the player if it will really make a difference in sound quality.

Please don't post info about alpine or panasonic stuff you bought at best buy or something like that. Audio enthusiasts only please.
