man why are you going to have 2 different speakers man. Different speakers use different amount of power. You want your amp to have problems! Not do it! Have you seen why most people get 2 subs the same......D

Perform at your own risk. Sound cancellation may occur.

Well, it can be done, but the subs will have different outputs.

If the one sub is dual 4 ohm, you can wire them (each coil) in parallel and in series with the single 4 ohm. This would result in 6 ohms, which won't give you the optimal power output, but won't hurt the amp either.

It would be best to get two subs of equal power and ohms.

Regardless how two subs are wired, the RMS watts of each would added together for your total watts RMS. The amp must match this RMS watt rating at the total ohms (whether wired in series or parallel). In any case, it won't hurt to have the ohms of the sub higher than what the amp is rated at, just not vise-versa.

***CAUTION***

Don't listen to Xavier . I did the math and his diagram will give you a load of 1.33333 ohms which will smoke your amp (assuming the DVC is 4 ohm each coil).

I re-drew the design and it should be like this: http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j230/sparky3489/PARALLEL-SERIES.jpg

if tis a low output amp and the dvc sub is 4 ohm just wire only one voice coil of the dvc sub. just check power because the dvc's power rating will get cut in half.

and before you all start giving me thumbs down on this, do the research first. it will work and it is not harmful to the sub at all. dvc subs are made for multiple wiring options, thats why they are made. good luck

well its all about the amp the watts it puts out! if its more them 400 the it ok to do. what you do is. you should have 2 (positive +)and 2(negative-) ports. left sub first. take the + wire and put it on the left + left port side ! then -far right - port. right sub. left - far left - port. right + far right + port. have funn
