what kind of system is best to get including sub-woofers and amplifier?

There is no "best", only preference. What I like may not be what you like. Go to a pro audio shop and grab a listen. Some of the better shops will demo a system in your car so you know exactly what your getting. Your ears are your best critic.

Be aware, what you hear in the store may not be what you hear in your car.

The box the subs go in is also very important. The wrong box will make the subs sound like crap.

IMHO, 400 watts RMS (200 watts RMS X 2) total is just right.

IMO, you can't go wrong with Boston Acoustics. check em out.

REALLY DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU WANT AND YOUR BUDGET. PERSONALLY I WOULD USE JL OR KICKER SUBS.
