I suppose in THEORY it could vibrate the oil pan enough to interrupt the supply of oil to the engine. Possibly vibrate the oil to the point of foaming also. I have a buddy with 4-8's, 4-10's, 4-12's, and 4-15's (all MTX) in a suburban and when they hit his oil pressure drops about 10 psi, nothing horrible because he never has it THAT loud when he is driving, just parked and showing off.

It is possible to damage the body of your car as well. Say you have body filler in the trunk lid of your car there is a possibility it could crack and chip off. I personally built a custom system in a 97 eagle talon that included 6 twelve inch JL Audio woofers in the trunk and removed back seat. The woofers made the rear hatch flex so much that the rear ufo looking spoiler that was on those cars that year its middle leg connecting to the rear hatch started to split the thin sheet metal it was connected to.

That's funny! You care about damage to your precious car, but don't care at all about your own ears! I just hope you can still afford hearing aids later on, when you are older. Chances are, you'll need them in about 10 years.
