well we could go back ant forth on this but what i really comes down to is which brand holds the record for bass? pioneer did it with 13 subs, put up 180.5db. mtx or kicker, or jl, or anyone can get close to that. hell the kicker people have iirc, 72 solo x subs and they cant be louder then the 13 pioneers. the choice is simple. go pioneer premier, and dont look back to crappy mtx again.

These people holloring mtx must be unaware that the world spl record is held by a pioneer setup, I would go with pioneer over mtx on everything but the amps and i might be wrong on that subject.

Both MTX & Pioneer Make Solid Bass Speakers, however,

individual preferences vary over a wide spectrum.

If you can, go to a location where you can listen to each speaker

under the same circumstances and then make your decision.

This approach can save time and money.

MTX are okay and don't get me wrong that I don't like it but I've seen some pioneer do better more damage in bass.

MTX is a good brand but as said its does have some bad rep. but out of personal preference, i have two Premier TS-W126/DVC (dual voice coil)and they bang like crazy. I have a hiphonics amp with 1200 watts.(rms 400). People ask me if i have 15 inch subs, but they are 12's bridged @ 2 ohms. So trust me if you have a choice between those two brands go for Pioneer.

pioneer has been a jewel for me. mtx has some really good subwoofers too, but they have also had some bad reps as well.it all comes down to personal preferance in the end.

depends on what kind of application its for, if your looking for SQ, id say pioneer by far. if your looking for SPL, id go with the mtx. mtx isnt a bad brand, they just have a few bad lines of subwoofers.
