Does anyone know if I should be paying dealer extras? I negotiated the TCh for $1000 over the dealer invoice but then they hit me with the following:
Toyota Marketing Fund (T.M.F) - $304
Toyota Adertising Fund (T.A.F) - $428
Base - Veh - HB (Dealer Holdback) - $518
PIO - HB (Pre Installed Options Holdback) - $156
Finance Reserve - $259

Does anyone know if I should be paying for these? The dealer says that all people pay for it. I am not sure. Please help!

I like all three and they are pretty much in the same price range. I just don't know much on which one is technically more sound. In other words more comfort, less maintenance, less defects, and the one that gets you more mileage.

I have a choice of 2 free cars but I don't know which one is better.
The first car is a 1993 Buick Centry that has 70,000 miles on it.
The second is a minivan - a 1998 Ford Windstar but it has 20,000 miles on it.

Which vehicle do you think is better? Is it better to have the older car with less miles or the newer car with 50,000 more miles on it?

I have a high interest rate loan on a truck, I am paying the payments on time and I am thinking about getting something else with a better interest rate. But I found out that car dealerships and finance companies have participation splits when they sell a car and complete the financing. I wanted to know what that means and am I paying for it. My rate is 24.9% I know that is high but my wife and I had not choice due to a loss in job. We are ok with it but really need to make a change now. Any advice would help. We have stable income and credit scores between 540 and 587, all of our credit cards and car payments and other bills have been on time for the past 12 months. We have some old judgments that maybe total $3500.00; one is a medical bill and the other a membership we never used at a discount supply place. Thank you for your answers in advance.

I know this is a very cheap price, but I also know there are lots of high mileage vehicles out there that still have a lot of miles left in them. I just want to know some pointers as I have never bought a car or truck this cheap.
