I live in Alberta and want to purchase a 2007 Prius. I know that I have to have the speedometer changed to kms and I have to add daytime running lights. But other than that I don't know what to expect once I get to the border and want to bring the Prius back.

Like a whole another country. Canada will tax your socks off on importing a new car. Canada wants you to pay there sales tax too. To know how much you need to contact customs office. And order the car with daytime running lamps. You might now be even able to order it that way being a Hybrid Prius spedo head converts with a push button to Kms. A word of caution do you know how much it is going to cost to replace twenty lead acid batterys in four years? And how about disposal of lead acid batterys?
