I'm going to be shopping for a new car soon, and I really would like to get an SUV because I need the extra space . I don't want one too small. The Toyota Rav4's are nice but may be a little too small, and the Ford Expeditions are huge! Can anyone suggest a nicely -sized SUV for a family with 2 adults, a baby and 2 dogs? Thanks :)

1. 1996 Acura 3.5RL w/ 155K miles. Asking $4200
2. 1993 Lexus SC300 w/ 220K miles. Asking $3200

We just got my husband a fairly nice car on a payment, since that's what he wanted. With his new job he commutes far and wanted something reliable. He picked it out himself and everything. So now we have two car payments, his car and my van. We can afford it but now we are a little more tight. But I thought this would cure him of wanting to buy and sell so many vehicles if he had one that he really liked. He still owns 3 trucks that sit in the yard and he doesn't drive, plus one more truck that he uses once in a while. And right after buying his car he said he wished he would have gotten this one truck instead, but obviously he won't be able to get out of the loan to get it. Now he's talking about buying a 4 Runner with a bad motor. Why can't he just be happy with the one nice car he has a payment on and stop buying and selling all of these other more junky vehicles? We can't afford any more fixer uppers, and he doesn't have the time.

I'm thinking of either going for a Ford S-Max or a Mazda 5. If there is anyone out there who can rate either of these from personal experience then great. Please share opinions of other suitable cars of this type. If my auto-loan balance is 14,000 and the value of the vehicle is 11,000.00 and i'm trying to trade it in for a vehicle for about 20,000 what would be my best bet? Should i patiently wait till i catch up with the value of car and have some equity? Or if i trade it in and put some money down on the new car (* like 2000 maybe) will it work out the same?Please Advice. Thank you very much.

I am planning to own a car by now. None of my family members have any earlier experience with cars. This is the first time that we are going to own a car. While talking with the ones who already own a car, a few of them suggests to buy a second hand car if you are going to use it for the first time, arguing that you need experience with cars at least once and then you go and buy a new car. Is this a valid argument? Should I go about buying a new car or should first try with a second hand car?

Also, in small cars segment, what's the opinion about Indica Xeta?

Ok on november im getting my first car. im only 16 in california and I'm getting my car. This is where someone hit me, its the only damage to my cars paint..Rest of car is in great shape, few tiny dents in door. I replaced the light that is missing as you can see in the picture.

I am looking for a 04-05 civic, and I am wondering when would be the best time to get the lowest possible price? I am looking to buy around december-july is when I should have enough money saved up. I plan on buying used, I dont think I can afford new, and I dont like the new style, I like the 04-05 styles.

I have never bought a car from a dealer, this would only be my second car ever (im 19). Would an 8k downpayment be alot for a car that is about 14k?

And how easy is it to talk down a dealer from 14-15 k to about 13k or less?

I have horrible credit, I had clinical depresion for about 2 year, I was in medications and now I am med free and have a good job, but I get paid cash.
