Have narrowed my search to these two cars:
1. 1996 Acura 3.5RL w/ 155K miles. Asking $4200
2. 1993 Lexus SC300 w/ 220K miles. Asking $3200

most def. go with the Ac. man...highly dependable down the stretch...i had a 1994 legend for the longest time and it was a dream all the way to 241,000...

HONESTLY. I've owned both a lexus and acura. The Lexus with stood much more ground. It's actually still be driven by my little bro at 260, 000 miles with NO problems. Just get your oil changed and make sure your tires are in good condition. I will stand by this aaaalll the way. Besides ... Why do you think Lexus's cost more? You hardly ever see old Acuras, but the Lexus's of all ages are still being driven. Look around you! Remember to have a mechanic check everything out before you close the deal!!

I think the acura is to much. The blue book value is 2700 and that's in fair condition. Now if it is in excellent condition then it's an ok deal. I think the acura is a better car.
Now the lexus in fair condition is to much too. If it is in excellent condition it is a good deal. .. I hoped this helped.

go with the acura. simply bcuz of the mileage. I assume the lex doesn't have much left in her at this point. does look better but since it's used, the acura will yeild you more for the buck. assume each of them will need some repairs as all used cars do. also would help if you could get the maintenance history of these vehicles as well.

thats a no brainer, go with Acura that Lexus is gonna start falling apart on you in no time
