Buying & Selling - July 2006

My g/f just traded in her car yesterday and bought another (from a dealer). and now she doesnt want it because of the high interest rate, roll-over amount, and length of financing with such high payments. can she take the car back and get her old one back? some people have told me that she has 3 days to return the new car. but what about the one she traded in? will they give it back to her? Please respond ASAP with any helpful info. I appreciate it...

My boyfriend has two jobs, one part time @ 16.00/hr and one that is also part time, but he is paid under the table. He has a recent bankruptcy and keeps hearing ads on tv stating he can get a car even though he has bad credit, bankruptcy and unverifiable income. He desperately needs a car, but doesn't have money to put down. We are in Washington State. Please help!!!

i have a 2003 s-10 and i owe way more than it is worth $19,000 to be exact and i need out from under it. i know that a repo will hurt my credit (which does'nt bother me) but is that all, am i going to have to pay for it anyways?

what if i dont want to set a location just for auto business to selling vechiles and etc, i would like to start with one car in my home property i am trying to get into auto business and selling on website only ebay,autotrader,cars.com etc is it possible to do that? i saw a requirement for getting dealer license i must get zone approval... isnt it possible to get approved right at my home property ? i just want to start at bottom business first then if success make enough profit i would find a place with office and lot for vechileS to park showing in public and selling cars on website also... i know its too many questions i am also confused, want to make sure before i ask office said" hello i would like to get dealer license on my home property" lol

Today I stopped at a Kia dealer. We saw a 06 Kia Spectra brand new for $11990. Now with Taxes (texas), +tt&l, they said the best monthly price with $0 down was $397 for 60 months. Now that would equal $23,820. How can this be? The interest cannot be too high since it's a brand new car.....were they trying to screw me?

I was going between 2 dealerships to buy a new small truck. 1 guy gave me a price and looked around for a truck with my options (none!) the other traded for a truck not in my color with all these expensive options and I refused. He called me back and traded a dealership in another state for a truck STILL not my color or options. The 1st guy got everthing perfect, even the price so I bought it. The 2nd guy called and I told him, he said, "What? After all I did for you?! You are taking food out of the mouth of my wife and child! How dare you! I should take you to court and sue you for lying to me! You lead me on!" I said, you lost and didn't meet my demands, you can just blame yourself, and I will see you in court then, click!

Another dealership used a "bait-car", a cheap one in the paper, then tried to sell me something else. JERKS!

So I am about to buy an '04 Pontiac Vibe--everything looks good, but I wanted to ask a Q about the GM Protection Plan warranty. The brochure the manager gave me says that, since the car is still in the original warranty for 2 more months, that an extended GMPP warranty would start when the car was first purchased and at 0 miles. But the dealer's manager said that the brochure she gave me was old, and that the warranty would start on the date I buy the car. I'm thinking of a 3 yr/36000 mile warranty, but if it starts when the car was first bought, it would be basically worthless. Also, I won't sign a contract w/o it saying what's covered, but she showed me the contract and it doesn't have any of that on it.

I know I've asked a lot a questions here and have gotten some really good answers, so I'm hoping for one more good answer...

I had an 85 ford Taurus. The transmission went out in 97. Soon after everything fell apart. I was really bummed. I loved the car. I have been a SUV mom for a long time and I think I would like to by a nice affordable used car to drive sometimes. The 95-99 Ford Taurus seem to be priced good and I like the style again. Anyone have an idea how these ones hold up? Would I be cursed again? Any other car ideas in these price ranges?
