What is your budget? Do you need 4WD? Do you want a fast car or a practical car? Are you looking for good gas mileage or utility or speed, or what?

This is a really bad question. It all comes down to personal preference and your practical needs.

If I could buy any car in the world, right now it would be the new RX-8. I've got an RX-7 now and it's really nice and fast and looks great, but I had a Subaru for years, and it was very reliable, great in the snow, but it looked like crap. On the other hand, she did take me to the winner's circle in several rallys, so it's really hard to say which is better.

Make it something you can afford, and can afford to drive. Given the high cost of fuel, at least 30 MPG is what to aim for. It's only transportation, after all.
