The question requires further inputs. Are you asking what you should look out for after you have decided on the car or before?

If I am still choosing a car, I asked myself what the heck I need a car for. In my country, a Toyota Camry 2.0 liter can cost up to USD$60K and fuel is USD$1.30/l and the car must be scrapped after 10 years. So, price dictates the choices and then it's down to requirements, looks and reliability, in no particular order.

brand, performance, design, reliability of the car. But it all depends on the person's budget ofcourse.

because not all people who buy's a new car looks into how reliable the car is and the design. Details of the price which is very important is also considered.

1 look at every seam in the body are straight and aligned right
2 start the car while you're outside with hood up is it prefectly quiet if it ticks, sqeaks, knocks don't buy it the engine has a problem
3 drive it pay attention to how the transmission shitfts if it slips, or shift with quick snap don't buy it the transmission has a problem
4 is the steering wheel perfectly straight if it's ****** to one side the front end needs work and thats expensive
5 turn on everything make sure everything works just right
6 look at the tires are they new worn some or worn on one edge if worn on any edge it needs front end work

First, the visual: does it catch my eye.

Second: Whats the MPG? Should be first priority, but who wants to save gas driving a car they think is tacky/ugly?

Third: How much are the monthly notes? Be smart and savvy w/ loan options here: do let the buyer beware. Remember: care salesman (or....a-hem....lady) is out to score a commission on each car sold.

I'd also give bonus points for safe ease of operation and safety features.....and any other AFFORDABLE bells n' whistle whiz-bang stuff.

reliability . . does the can have a reputation as reliable, or will it be in the garage every Monday and Thursday?? Also an extended waranty is a good indication that a company believes so strongly in it's product that they'll guarantee you (let's say) seven years, or ten years . . . then comfort (electric windows, leather seats collapsable side mirrors), mileage in today's day and age is a pivotal concern, and only after you've considered all that, you should consider the beauty and styling . . .

i offered a sporty motor vehicle with 17-inch wheels and occasional-profile tyres. It dealt with properly on A-roads yet had an rather complicated journey on the motorways. I made a mistake finding out to purchase it for using all those employer miles. a speedy yet no longer too sporty motor vehicle could have been a extra proper determination.
