it goes in reverse for a few seconds then stops dead, what do i do to fix this

when you give it gas it sounds like its just sucking air. it idles for about 2 seconds then dies. New points, cleaned the carb, there is one plug on the bottom of carb hard to get at, could it be the prob?

this boat has an 165 hp inboard but we are unsure if u have to turn on a pump for the water to cool the engine or if it is automatic? or it there is any other tips for this style of boat

simply put what can I do or buy to change salt water to fresh drinking water. Like if I was on sea and ran out of fresh water.

So I really want to live on a sail boat and be able to sail around the world. I would most likely stay in the carribean. But I would love to travel as well. I would like to have fresh water available to me as well somewhere to store food and a ship that would sleep at least 4 preferably 6. Any help would be wonderful. What size of boat, what kind and price range used or new. I've found some good ones on Ebay Motors but I know absolutely nothing about a good kind to get. Any help or guidance would be wonderful.

Im getting a 1984 70 hp evinrude VRO. Do I need to mix the fuel with that motor? Do I add two stroke oil to it? Maybe it is a four stroke motor? I know, I should ask the person Im getting it from. It never hurts to get a little knowledge before hand. Thanks

What do you think are the best ways to get higher radar signature for your boat?

Radar signal reflection is important to small boats. And I have seen little or no reflection from other small boats on the water.

I want my boat to have a strong bounce when I'm 3 to 10 miles out from the radar of the ships in the shipping lanes. And I would want to show up well on other small boats radar at night or in a fog.

What do you recommend I do?

did and I have blown the head gasket. Question is: When I get it restarted what to do about the full throttle. Why does it do that after a long period of none use?
