I have always like the Grand Banks. It is a trawler yacht. The Banks is kind of dated now, but it will always be a classic. Perhaps the best trawler style boat going right now is the Nordhavn. They are some of the smallest power boats capable of an ocean crossing.

I prefer aluminum boats
