It is a 1979 Chrysler. It has a 115 horse power outboard motor. It has been sitting for about 3 years, but we did replace all the fuel lines on the motor. We are currently only averaging about 2 hours. Is this normal or is there a problem?

I recently bought a 2nd hand boat with a suzuki DF 140hp 2004 model and the trim gauge is not working. I have 12v at the gauge when I turn on the ignition. When I ground (ie earth)out the sender wire the gauge needle moves from 'fully down' to 'fully up'. So, I figure the problem is with the sender - any ideas on how I can troubleshoot this problem?? Thanks in advance. Tim

I've been getting conflicting answers on this, and I'm not entirely sure if the Danforth anchor is stockless or not. If possible, an answer tonight would be lovely, as I set out for sea tomorrow afternoon. But, don't worry, it's for curiosity's sake, not an anchor selection!

This engine runs good cold but after it warms up it will not stay running when I put it into gear. Someone told me I needed to have the motor rebuilt and to me it is not worth that . Plus it looks like it may have been rebuilt already. I have to use the fast idle to speed it up and toss it in to gear to keep it from dyeing I have also ran carb cleaner through it and replaced the fuel pump diaphragm . It also looses its prime and I have to go back and pump the squeeze bulb between pulling tubers if I shut the motor off ,to get the gas back to the motor I am running out of ideas!!!.
Is there a check valve somewhere not at work?? it runs good after it gets going as far as pulling.

I bought a 15' runabout tri hull with a bracket mounted on the back for a troll motor. Is a transom mounted troll motor "old school" technology? How do you determine what lb. of thrust you need? I looked on the box at the store. But, that is not a question it gives the answer to.

My husband and I just bought a 97 Celebrity, 22ft bowrider.
We have been debating on names, he likes Wet-n-Wild, but I think it is dorky.
He is a coal miner and I would like to name it something unique to do with that.... any creative suggestions?

My brand new prop dinged a piece of drift wood on the river i fish on. I noticed no vibration, or performance lose. When i got home i saw 1 blade had a slightly different curve than the rest and some paint had been removed from blade edge. Is this something i should have repaired ?

I recently met a friend who shares some sailing fantasies. He is saying you can just buy a 28' sail boat and sail across the pacific. Is this true, i would have though you'd need a bigger boat. How small of a boat is possible and how long would it take if rushed?
