This engine runs good cold but after it warms up it will not stay running when I put it into gear. Someone told me I needed to have the motor rebuilt and to me it is not worth that . Plus it looks like it may have been rebuilt already. I have to use the fast idle to speed it up and toss it in to gear to keep it from dyeing I have also ran carb cleaner through it and replaced the fuel pump diaphragm . It also looses its prime and I have to go back and pump the squeeze bulb between pulling tubers if I shut the motor off ,to get the gas back to the motor I am running out of ideas!!!.
Is there a check valve somewhere not at work?? it runs good after it gets going as far as pulling.

There will be a screw on the throttle linkage near the carbs that is used to adjust the idle speed.
With it in neutral & the idle lever down it should be against a stop. To properly adjust it you will need to have the boat in the water. Take the cowling off & find the adjustment screw before going to launch.
The primer bulb simply primes the system. The fuel pump takes over & keeps the carburetor bowls full while the engine is running.
You may have a small leak in the gas line allowing it to suck air in lieu of fuel at low speed.
There is a one way check valve in the primer bulb.
Good luck

a new primer bulb will probably fix the fuel issue. if you set the carb. air screws to 1 turn open, the idle will increase. this might loose some take-off power too. that motor is old and can be worrisome to work with, but you might try to find a pro that will set the timing/sychro for you.

Might be the crank case pressure is low that runs the fuel pump.Go to a low pressure electrice fuel pump as the eng is old an that is 1 of the problems even after a rebuild??
