I can't find specific information of this happening but the high tide clearance is 67 meters, 220 feet. If it exceeds this height some consideration must be given.

I believe I read some time ago of a sailing vessel with masts high enough to be a concern, but I don't remember the details.

The only exception that I know of is some of the new aircraft carriers have to time it for a lower tide. The commercial ships do not.

There are a few larger ships that have to wait for low tide.
