I recently bought a 2nd hand boat with a suzuki DF 140hp 2004 model and the trim gauge is not working. I have 12v at the gauge when I turn on the ignition. When I ground (ie earth)out the sender wire the gauge needle moves from 'fully down' to 'fully up'. So, I figure the problem is with the sender - any ideas on how I can troubleshoot this problem?? Thanks in advance. Tim

Check on the intermediate housing where the Eng pivot's there should be a switch the moves when Eng lifts. these don't seem to last long Follow the wires near the trim pump?
