This would make sence. no more noise, not really any loss in performance. doesn’t affect reliability, so why not???

I am writing a script in which a man continuously flies around the world in an airplane, stopping only to change pilots, get fuel, etc. But I'm not sure exactly how long it would realistically take to fly once around the globe. Anybody have an idea?

I saw an answer saying you will lose lots of hair due to the radiation exposed while you are flying high. Is this true?

When I'm about 2 meters off the ground, how do I know that I'm low enough to pull back on the stick to "stall" at the safe touch down height?

I like the way United Airlines jets are painted with that classy grey and the pinstripes on the tail..
Qantas "Wunala Dreaming" 747-400 is gorgeous..
China Airlines with the traditional "plumrose" on the tail
American Airlines silver with red, white and blue trim and lettering
Pan Am's old white and blue on their 707's and 747's
British Airways

My faves are:
the Grumman F-14 Tomcat
Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird
Boeing 747-400 series jetliners
Airbus A319(the nicest Airbus I've flown on so far)and A380(I'd love to be a passenger on the new superjumbo!)
North American P-51 Mustang(awesome warbird!)
Lockheed P-38 Lightning(the 'bombers' little friend' to the Allies,
the Japanese called it 'the fork-tailed devil'!)
Messerschmidt ME-262 (even though the enemy used it it's still pretty awesome WW2 technology and a preview of what was to come for most air forces!)
Boeing China Clippers( first true luxury liners of the sky with loads of amenities for passengers and they even had sleeper cabins!)
Harrier jump jet(STOVL/VTOL, very cool)
Lockheed Constellation
Boeing 707(first American-built passenger jet)
Douglas DC-3/C-47
Lockheed C-5 Galaxy
C-17 Globemaster II(HUGE)
Antonov AN-225(REALLY HUGE!)

I have a close friend who wants to be a pilot, he's 23. His eye degree is 4 (which is pretty bad I suppose) and he wears glasses. So is their a chance for him?

Since technology is getting much more advanced and there's that plane that can travel at the speed of sound, is there going to come a time when Airlines require less and less pilots and someday maybe none? If so, how many years from now?

okay I'm listening to a live radio from the boston tower and as the pilots descend, approach, land, etc they talk in numbers and codes (ex: runway 22 left clear to land hold short on landing; 124784 vehicle traffic causing beyond the runway.... and they say other things with whole bunch or numbers) can you explain to me what that means?

oh and if you're a airline pilot or a commercial, please say so cuz i'd like to ask some more questions by e-mail.
Thanks!!

In an airline crash, people are told to assume the brace position. If the seats were facing backwards (as was/is used in military flights) surely this would be a safer option to use as the passengers are already in a more secure position.
