There are several jetliners built by Airbus, which is not a "French" company but EADS which is a consortium made up of some countries that are European Union members. Airbus jets fly for several airlines and the earlier models fly with quite a few domestic airlines here in the States(same for Boeing's 737, 757,767, and some 777 jetliners). I've been on the A300(in 1991, Continental Airlines) and A319(2004, United Airlines)

If you want to know about the A380 superjumbo, the first airline that's going to fly it commercially for passengers is SINGAPORE AIRLINES.

Airbus is the name of the French company that makes different models of planes. It is as Toyota is to the Camry, Carrola, Celica. Airbus's models include the A319 which is essentially the Toyota Camry or the Honda Accord of planes, Alot of people, or in this case airlines, have them. Jetblue used to fly them exclusively until they purchesed Embraer 190's, a Brazilian Jet. Airbus has a bunch of models ranging from the A310 to the brand new A380. The A380 is the largest commercial jet ever built. It is a double decker. It can seat 555 people. It has the ability to have gym, a stand up bar, or even sleeper rooms, if the purchasing airline chooses to. It can fly up to 8700 miles without fueling. Its a cool plane, other than being French:)

Airbus is flying into bankruptcy court!

The A380 is an ill-concieved white elephant that will drain all the cash out of the company and prevent it from launching a competitor to Boeing's new 787 Dreamliner.

Airbus had proposed an A350, but it did not compete with the 787 and customers overwhelmningly rejected it, even scoffed at it. After one attempt at setting new design specs and asking for $8B in launch aid from its sponsoring nations, the project is floundering and may not start for a couple of years.

Other, older Airbus models are flying successfully around the world. See http://www.airbus.com/en/

Poor thing...
You have no idea about airplanes, right?

You think airbus is an airline, like a bus line or a cruise?

A300,310,320,319,318,321,330,340,380 and in the future 350.
They fly everywhere in the world.

Airbus is a company that builds airplanes. Where they fly depends on who owns them. I believe it is Jet Blue that flies them exclusively.

BTW, the Airbus A380 is the "Superjumbo" that is still under cinstruction.

Many US airlines already use the Airbus. Earlier models however; A319, A320, etc.

It is a great aircraft.
