Britain's international airshow, the so called Farnborough International Air Show is held every even-numbered year since 1946 at a large civilian airfield next to the small town of Farnborough, Hampshire some 30 miles southwest of London, England. The airshow takes place at Farnborough Airfield, situated between Farnborough and Fleet and the site of the historic Royal Aircraft Establishment. It is a seven-day international trade fair for the aerospace business where it draws civilian and military aerospace exhibitors from 32 countries, as well as some 300,000 visitors. The airshow is organised by the British aerospace industry's body the Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC) to demonstrate both civilian and military aircraft to potential customers and investors.The biggest attraction for business and public visitors is the spectacular aerial displays of all kinds.
