I KEEP WONDERING IF ANOTHER ELEMENT THAT IS AS STRONG AS STEEL BUT LIGHT AS ALUMINIUM CANNOT BE FORMULATED OR DOES NOT EXIT FOR AIR-PLANE CONSTRUCTION. AN ELEMENT THAT WILL NOT FRAGMENT TO BITS ON IMPACT WITH EARTH. THIS WILL INCREASE THE CHANCES OF SURVIVAL IN THE EVENT OF A PLANE CRASH.

I want to be an airline pilot, I don't know how or what classes i should be taking in high school. How do i get to be a commercial airline pilot? what do i do? what should i plan ahead? all those stuff, if theres a experienced pilot please post it here.

I'm traveling with my hubby and two sons next Monday. We're flying from Calgary, arriving in TO at 7:45 pm at terminal 1, then flying out of terminal 2 headed to Orlando at 8:55pm. I'm concerned about the connection time - is 70 minutes long enough to change terminals, retrieve our baggage from the first flight, go through US customs and be on the plane in time for the second flight?? Has anyone personally taken this flight in the past and can offer advice?

ok, i'm a 16 year old girl that wants to be a airline pilot really bad! but i've heard and read some articles on how to begin this whole thing. i've got ppl telling me to join the military, the marine, the national guard,etc. b/c in there you can fly for free. but then i hear some ppl(my dad) say not to join it, especially a girl. but i mean, i dont really care about HOW do i become a pilot, i know you need to have self disaplines in the military and all that, but still....i dont care, i will do whatever it takes(if it helps me to reach my goal)

On the Hong Kong approach take off chart, I read once the aircraft takes off, it flies round in a rectangle whilst ascending then to its assigned altitude and direction and this is for all aircrafts. Any suggestions ?

It said the pilots were fed only a "high protein, low residue" diet before flights..what exactly does that mean, and why? Was it to prevent excess cleanup after mach3+ pressure, or to keep them alert?
