I did, but I'm not the top graduate though, ha ha (at least I'm in the top 4%).

I went to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (which requires all the same steps). Furthermore, I cross-commissioned into the Air Force, spent nine years on active duty, and am now a reservist. I am thoroughly familiar with the process.
