My car currently has 13" stock steel rims. If I put on 15" alloys, the speedo will be inaccurate. Is there a way to recalibrate the speedometer in accordance to the size of the new wheels?

I own land and I have an old railroad bed in it. I want to remove it and take the rails to a scrap metal yard. Basically I would like to know how much a section of it weighs. This is a standard railroad bed like they use today. Not one of those old skinny ones. Also if I were to cut through it what kind of saw would I use? I know a plasma cutter would be best but I'm trying to save money. Also does anyone know what you would get per pound for the steel at a scrap yard? Thanks. Appreciate your answer.

I have two choices.

A.) I can either buy some really nice (high quality) yokohama tires. A set wil cost $200from Discount Tire.com.80k warranty tire. They will deliiver to my door. FREE SHIPPING. I can have a certified mechanic mount and balance them for extra $50 bucks. Total price will be $250 plus tax.

B.) Or I can buy the Primewell(low quality) cheapo tires from Firestone for $200 plus mounting and balancing. 40,000k warranty tire.Total cost $250.
If I bought those same yokohama tires from Firestone, Tire kingdom, or any store..they would cost me $400! This is because when you buy online you get tires for wholesale. I plan on driving my car for another 100k.

The problem is this: If the tire if faulty or breaks down...i can at least drive to the store and havethem replace or fix the tire.
If I buy tires online..if tire is faulty or anything wrong with tire I have to ship the tire back to the online site.

Whats the better deal?

I have a 91 Bronco 302 efi that has been having a problem with the egr valve, Ive did test on the valve, it opens and closes, holds a vacuum, and the sensor it reading right, just wondering if the vacuum tree, (on upper intake manifold) which supplies vacuum for the whole truck, is suppose to have a built in check valve. The only thing I have not check is the egr controll solenoid,, but its only about 4 years old. If the tree is suppose to have a check valve built into it, its not working.

Yesterday i was involved in a minor fender bender in california of which was completely my fault and i took full responsibility. I gave the other driver all my registration info and made sure there were no injuries to her which there werent. The damage to her back bumper was very minor and was mostly just paint from my license plate on her bumper with minor paint damage. The problem is that i dont have liability insurance until today and so i cant give her a policy number or anything till today. She knows this and said that was fine because her insurance company will probably just call mine. I'm wondering what if any the consequences will be for me not actually having the insurance at the time of the accident. I would assess the damage to her car to be no more than $1000 which is more than covered by the california minimum for liability. I am getting the insurance today but i;m just wondering if any consequences could arise? Thanks to all who answer!!!

I was in a tight parking space, and someone had the nerve to park behind me, slightly to my right. So, I tried to ease the car past the one that was in my way and ended up sliding the side of the car against a truck.

The little metal things on the back of the pick-up tore a piece of the plastic fender on the side of my mom's car. It's a 2003 Toyota Camry. Can it be fixed???

I have a 98 Chevy Cavelier. It is winter time. I turned my car on this morning and turned the defrost on, with the heat all the way up. I let it sit for awhile, and now it is overheating. I checked the anitfreeze and it is full. What could be the problem?

This is actually a question of my elder brother, who wants me to research the point on public perception of law as his cab gets covered in kebabs if he doesn't stop.. The real answer I already know (I'm a lawyer!).

Yesterday I had my oil changed and tires rotated, which I do religiously to my 2001 Pontiac Grand Am (106,XXX miles). My tires were put on around 75,xxx miles, very good brand name, and if I remember right 40,xxx or 60,xxx life expectancy. When I dropped it off there was no pull, now it pulls to the right slightly. Is this a tire issue (worn belt in tire, as the Ford technician said) or is it an alignment issue? He recommended if after a week it still had the pull to switch the rear drivers with the front passengers, which would either fix the problem or result in a left pull. Which is correct?

Thanks!!!

Frozen wiper blades how to unstick. When the weather is cold and the wipers won’t move. Any good ideas on how to unfreeze them? The fuses aren’t blown, and the motor in it sounds like it’s trying, but their frozen. Any ideas and help would be great.

Again from memory and may not be a perfectly correct quote and no idea of the verse itself. "God's Triumph could be heard in the heavens." Could be a Triumph motorcycle? On the other hand God may have a second car other than that Plymouth Fury? But with either seems after market exhaust is almost a certainty.

Hopefully no one takes me too seriously. Just a harmless joke and a bit of twisted semantics.
