I have a 91 Bronco 302 efi that has been having a problem with the egr valve, Ive did test on the valve, it opens and closes, holds a vacuum, and the sensor it reading right, just wondering if the vacuum tree, (on upper intake manifold) which supplies vacuum for the whole truck, is suppose to have a built in check valve. The only thing I have not check is the egr controll solenoid,, but its only about 4 years old. If the tree is suppose to have a check valve built into it, its not working.

There is no check valve built into the tree that attaches to the intake. It is prone to carbon build up that needs to be cleaned out.
